About the Author
Writing began for me when I picked up a Jules Verne novel at age fourteen. I was hooked when I realized books transported me to new places and gave me new experiences. I took creative writing classes through high school and college, and I knew that writing would be my life.
With a degree in English and History, I went on to complete a Masters in Communications Arts. My career began with writing corporate executive speeches, film scripts, and live events. Success led to the formation of my own Los Angeles-based communications company providing a full range of creative services including script writing, speech writing, film writing, film and multi-media production, and live event design and staging.
I worked with many Fortune 500 corporations. CEOs and top executives entrusted me to fashion and deliver their strategic business and marketing messages throughout the United States and around the world including the Middle East, Israel, and India.
Multi-disciplinary success led to network television writing and production contracts with CBS Television and Discovery Channels, as well as other international broadcast interests.
A five-year contract with the Organization of American States (OAS) sent me to the West Indies where I consulted with Presidents, Prime Ministers, Premieres, and Ministers of State. My work with the OAS required that I live within the indigenous communities to learn about the people, their beliefs, customs, and traditions.
My friendships with people from many nations including Britain, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand gave me a fresh perspective on those respective cultures.
